What is Deferred Adjudication?

Deferred adjudication is an alternative type of sentencing given by a judge after a plea is entered by the defendant. The judge postpones any finding of guilt and leaves the defendant under probation. As long as the defendant follows all of the rules setup during their probation period when their time is up the judge will enter a finding of no guilt. You can find more information here: .
