What is Mercer?

Mercer or MRSA, is Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. This bacteria is spread in various places from hospitals to locker rooms. The problem is, as it's name implies, it is resistant to antibiotic treatment which sometimes means limbs must be amputated and skin tissue must be removed. It's just another reason that it's important to wash your hands. You can find more information here: .
