What is Charcot Marie Tooth Disease?

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) is a common, inherited neurological disorder that affect peripheral nerves. Symptoms include foot deformities and weak muscles in the feet. Later in the disease, weakness and muscle atrophy may occur in the hands.
