What does Scleroderma Look Like?

Scleroderma is an autoimmune condition that can cause thickened hard tissue, including skin. It can also cause an abnormal reaction to cold temperatures, where the fingertips turn unusual colors. This is known as Raynaud's phenomenon and occurs in most cases of scleroderma. The effected skin can appear anywhere on the body, but is most common on the hands and face.
