What does Asymptomatic Mean?

Asymptomatic refers to patients who have certain medical conditions, but do not show visible symptoms. Some examples of conditions that can be asymptomatic are: carotid artery dissection, high blood pressure, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. Asymptomatic can also refer to patients who no longer have symptoms of an illness or people who are not sick at all.
