MRSA is contracted when an infected person comes into contact with an uninfected person. Any part of the body that is touched with the bacteria is susceptible to having an entrance for the bacteria to begin growing, such a cracked skin or a small sore. It can also be contracted when bacteria is left on surfaces such as toilets, sinks, gym floors, and gym towels.
