How do I Write a Lab Report?

In order to write a thorough lab report, there are general components that should be included: a title, introduction, abstract, the materials used to carry out the experiment, methods used to conduct the experiment, the results of your experiment, a discussion about your results and your experiment, and citations for your work. The length and thoroughness of your lab report will vary from instructor to instructor. Some classes and instructors require a very thorough report and others prefer the experiment to be summed up in a lab report.
