How to Write a Dialogue?

The verbal exchanges between the characters within a literary work is called dialogue. If there is only one character speaking to himself it is considered a monologue or interior monologue (if these are thoughts). Dialogue should be clear so the reader is not confused about who is speaking. One common identifier used frequently in dialogue is the verb "said."
