How is a Cd Made?

A cd is made of five layers. The first is the plastic layer to give the cd thickness. The second layer is where the data is stored. This layer is stamped into the plastic. Then a metallic shiny layer which helps to reflect the laser back for the CD player to read the information. Then a thin plastic layer is put on to protect the data. Then the label layer is put on. The label identifies the CD.
