To load a compact disk to a iPod you are going to need a computer, that has iTunes installed on it. When you insert the CD into your drive it will ask you if you would like to save the songs to your library. You then click the songs that you would like to copy and it saves them to that library. Next you insert your iPod and you will see it pop up on the left hand side of your iTunes player. Next you click on your iPod icon and then click sync music.
